I don't have any of these, because they go for way too much money on eBay.

Video of Nano Baby Gameplay

The Nano baby lets you raise a baby, naturally. It starts out with an animation of Mom and Dad going to the hospital in an ambulance. After this, you set the time, and get to see the doctor's face until the baby is born. You can give it a name that (I think) is max 8 characters long. The baby is pretty cute!

  • Food - can eat either bottles or ice cream
  • Games - There are two games included: Rock, paper, scissors, and a race in which you press the left or right button to help the baby get to the end.
  • Light

Nano Bunny

Video of Nano Bunny Gameplay

The Nano bunny lets you give is a name up to 8 characters long which will show on the stats menu. The startup animation is just a beating heart that stays until the bunny is born, then it switches to the bunny animation.

  • Feed - carrot/apple/candy
  • Game - Simon says (press the buttons as they show on the screen)
  • Discipline (wagging finger)

I've never seen this one anywhere, but I've seen instructions, so I know it exists!

Nano Teddy

One of the rarer ones, this one pops up on Ebay occasionally for obscene prices.

Family

There seem to be two of these: The Nano Puppy Family blue and pink versions. They let you chose between a variety of female and male dogs at start, and then you can raise them. Apparently they will also talk to each other and play/have puppies? This one is more complicated than others, and I can't figure it all out just by looking at the videos.

Functions Some of these don't go across the top and bottom of the screen like in other pets, but have you scroll through a menu on a different screen. They also have an alarm function on the clock screen.

  • Stats
  • Feed (dry food/shake)
  • Discipline
  • Medicine
  • Family connect
  • Read book
  • Play game (kick the ball into goal)
  • Baby - shows an animation of a baby getting licked by puppy. Not sure what that does.

Nano Turtle

Nano Doubles

The Nano Double had two different pets in them that you could switch between. Not sure if there's more than one of these, since I've only found the one below.

Dog/Cat

Lets you raise a cat and dog simultaneously. You can give them each a name (max 8 characters long).

Talking Nanos

Release date: 1997

They...you guessed it...talk. Tamenagerie has some instructions for these here: http://www.tamenagerie.com/insttalknano.html (Archived: File:Instructions TalkingNano Tamenagerie.pdf

  • Talking Nano Kitty

  • Talking Nano Puppy

Video of talking Nano Baby gameplay

Once you set the time, a stork drops the baby and it says "Hi!" You can then enter a name (8 characters max). The screen usually just shows a face on the screen rather than the usual walking animations. When the baby doesn't want something, it will say "No!" instead of shaking its head like other pets

Functions

  • Stats - Uses a dot/meter system
  • Light
  • Medicine - chose between two bottles of pills
  • Feed - Peas or bottle, and it makes chomping, swallowing, and burping sounds. Afterwards it says "Thank you!"
  • ?
  • Games - Simon says and catch the food using the left/right buttons
  • Bath (wipe face)
  • Discipline (wagging finger, followed by crying noise)

Nano Fighters

These are meant to be connected together for fights, and otherwise let you care for them. I guess these were the Nano's answer to the Digimon devices.

You can name these as you would other name pets, and there is no baby stage; they're born fully grown, but unclothed. Most of the functions are the same for each, so I'll outline them below, and then note the differences.

Functions

  • Feed - main food/shake
  • Games - Lifting weights (tap a button to help the), and punch the boards (press left and right buttons to help them punch
  • Light
  • Meds
  • Bath
  • Discipline
  • Stats - uses a numbering system instead of hearts

Fighting

Connect two of them toghet to see them fight! You'll get a "FIGHT" screen, and then see them walk onto each other's screens to hit. The winner and loser will then be seen on their respective screens. The loser will need medical care (ouch!) If you'd like to fight them again, you can disconnect and reconnect them and they will start a new fight.
